4D Metamaterials with Zero Poisson's Ratio, Shape Recovery, and Energy Absorption Features

4D metamaterials with zero Poisson’s ratio, shape-memory recovery, and high energy-absorption features are introduced in the article number 2200656 by Mahdi Bodaghi co-workers. Thermo-mechanical designed based on star-shaped unit-cells fabricated printing technology. It is shown that they have great potential energy absorbing applications like reversible car bumpers where plastic deformations can be recovered simply heating.
